The heat produced in the deeper layers causes the fibres to contract immediately and triggers, over several weeks, natural collagen production. We examine your skin quality and degree of laxity, target the areas to treat and check that there is no contraindication.

Preparation

Makeup removal, cleansing, then application of the coupling gel that is essential for transmitting the ultrasound.

The session

The handpiece delivers the ultrasound line by line. You feel brief sensations of heat or tingling, a sign the energy is reaching the right depth.

Leaving the salon

Slight redness may appear and fades within a few hours. You can wear makeup and go back to your day immediately.

Follow-up

The result builds over several weeks. We review it together to assess the outcome and decide whether a maintenance session is worthwhile.

Precautions and contraindications

HIFU is not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if you have a pacemaker or an electronic implant, metal implants or thread lifts in the area, an active skin lesion or infection, a progressive autoimmune condition, or if you are under 18. Recent hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin injections require a waiting period. HIFU is a cosmetic wellbeing treatment: it does not replace a medical procedure and makes no claim to treat any condition. If you have any relevant medical history, your doctor’s advice is required before the session.

Is HIFU painful?

It is bearable. You feel brief pulses of heat and sometimes light tingling along the jawbone, where the skin is thinnest. The intensity is adjustable and set live according to how you feel: we never go beyond what you can comfortably tolerate.

When do HIFU results show?

A tightening effect is often noticeable as soon as you leave, but the real change builds slowly: new collagen production takes place over several weeks. The peak result is therefore seen a few months after the session, not the next day.
